Book Review ⋯ Night World No. 1

Title: Night World No. 1: Secret Vampire, Daughters of Darkness, Spellbinder
Series: Night World
Author: L. J. Smith
Pages: 729
Stars: ★★★★★

Summary: Vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters -- they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love breaks all the laws of the Night World.

In Secret Vampire, Poppy thought the summer would last forever. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now Poppy's only hope for survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in the Night World, James can make Poppy immortal. But first they both must risk everything to go against the laws of Night World.

Fugitives from Night World, three vampire sisters leave their isolated home to live among humans in Daughters of Darkness. Their brother, Ash, is sent to bring the girls back, but he falls in love with their beautiful friend.

Two witch cousins fight over their high school crush. It's a battle between black magic and white magic in Spellbinder.

Review: I think I finished the whole omnibus in three days, it was soooo good! Spellbinder was my favorite, but I loved all three books. Because of this series I got into vampires, witches, and all things paranormal; it is that good. So if you haven't read this book, then you should get it, along with the next two books in the series.

Book Review ⋯ City of Ashes

Title: City of Ashes
Series: The Mortal Instruments ⋯ Book 2
Author: Cassandra Clare
Pages: 453
Stars: ★★★★

Summary: A murderer is loose in New York City ...

... and the victims are Downworlder children. Clary Fray and her fellow Shadowhunters have a strong suspicion that Valentine, Clary's father, may be behind the killings. But if he is the murderer, then what's his true motive? To make matters worse, the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, has been stolen, and the mysterious Inquisitor has arrived to investigate, with his eyes vigilantly targeted on Clary's brother, Jace.

Clary will need to face some terrifying demons and even more terrifying family decisions. No one said that the life of a Shadowhunter would be easy.

Review: SPOILER if you haven't read City of Bones.

This is my least favorite book in the series, but only because Jace and Clary are "brother and sister" throughout the book. I still loved the book, though. Cassandra Clare is one of my favorite authors and she didn't disappoint with City of Ashes.

Review: WOW!!! This book was crazy good. The end was so torturously cliffhangerish, and I LOVED every word of it. Multiple times while reading I had to put the book down b/c I was freaking out over what just happened. oh I just loved this book! I don't think I can say that enough; I love, love, loved this book!! Andrea Cremer is now one of my favorite authors.

Review: This book was interesting, but at times it would get slow, and there was weird cliff-hangerish end. I'm not really sure how to put what I feel about this book into words, soooo...read the book and let me know what you think. please. :D (suckish review, I know but i don't know whether I like this book or love it.)
